Our Story & Wines

A vineyard with the magic of stardust sprinkled about is surely like no other.

Serendipity has no timetable. It happens, or it doesn’t. But once in a very great while, the stars and planets align perfectly, and in just that moment, magic happens.

And so it was when Michael Dellar, a restaurateur whose restaurants have earned Michelin Stars and James Beard Awards, and Mort Friedkin, a real estate developer of extraordinary properties, climbed a hill on Soda Canyon Road in Napa Valley after a 20-year vineyard quest. They immediately understood the possibilities.

Stardust is the magic in the grapes, the soil, the climate, and the very being of the dreamers who create our celestial Stardust wines.

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (100%)

Barrel Aging: 24 months in French oak; 75% new, 25% neutral
Cases: 100, bottles and magnums

Winery Notes: Everything went right in this spectacular growing year to produce a powerful, complex wine with blueberry and blackberry fruit, hints of anise, slate, cedar, and balanced tannins and acidity. Firm and structured; a classic.

Winery Notes: Another stellar vintage resulted in a truly captivating wine. It opens with the intoxicating perfume of ripe Cabernet fruit and advances to flavors of cassis, vanilla, blackberries, and French toast. Juicy, full, and luscious.
